An old carved console table from Dongyang city, Zhejiang province, approx. 80-100 years old.
Dongyang is well known for their wood carvings, and there are many wood carving workshops from that city up to this day. Made mainly of Pinewood with the carved portions made from Camphor wood. The corner carvings all feature the head of a Ming-style hornless dragon.
The original table top was a wooden top but has since been replaced with a rattan top due to damage. This is the original colour of the table, finished in a clear matte lacquer.
