Early 19th Century Carved Coffer Table from Shanxi, China

An excellent antique coffer table from Shanxi province, China. In very good condition and has beautiful original patina & colour which we had left untouched. It has one long drawer and a hidden compartment below. The ribbon-like patterns on the front panels are simple and attractive, and the cinnabar red colour on them & the side aprons gives a gentle contrast against the dark table. The iron studs on the front are original, but the ring pull has been replaced.
