Vintage Elmwood Long Bench

A vintage Elmwood bench from Zhejiang province, approx. 60-80 years old. This bench is in very good condition, so it is kept as it is in order to retain the original look. Please note that there are some stains on the top of the bench which cannot be removed.

This type of bench were mainly seats around the dining table, but they were multi-purpose and was a must-have in every household; bring them outside the house and you can sit on them while working and chatting with your neighbours, place two together and you can place a plank over them and use it as a platform for drying vegetables, herbs, food etc.
