An old Pinewood painted chest from Gansu & is approx 50-60 years old. Besides paintings of chrysanthemum, peony and cherry blossoms, it also has auspicious symbols like the Buddha’s citron & Ruyi. In the middle of the chest are the words 金银满箱 (jīn yín mǎn xiāng) which means may the chest be filled with silver & gold.
