An old armchair from Shandong province, China, approx. 80 years old. This type of armchair is very comfortable as they recline more than the usual Chinese armchairs. The carving on the back splat has a Chinese character “Fu” at the top, which means good fortune, and a deer in the middle which represents prosperity. The colour on the footrest has faded the most as that is the part that would experience more wear & tear.
