Antique Black Hokkien Sideboard with Original Painting

An antique cabinet from Fujian with beautiful original paintings in excellent condition. All the front panels have borders decorated with crushed shells, creating a distinct textured detailing. The paintings on the drawers carry abundant auspicious meanings:

Crab & shrimp symbolize wealth, good fortune and continuous advancement. Octopus represents wealth coming from all directions, while banana tree and rabbit symbolize attracting wealth, many descendants and career success. The panels below are painted with flowers, birds & vases, symbolizing peace and prosperity.

The table top is made from a single plank of solid wood, likely Ficus wood, one of the signature characteristics of Fujian cabinets.
