This Shanxi coffer cabinet is approx. 120-150 years old. It has beautiful & interesting original painting on the front and we had retained that and given this an overall semi-matte clear lacquer. Only the front is painted, the top & sides are black.
At the bottom is painting of a bowl filled with treasures in the middle, and officials on both sides. One of the officials is holding a banner that reads 天官赐福, which roughly translates to heavenly blessings or blessings from heaven.
