An old baby cradle from Xinjiang, approx. 60-80 years old. Another basket would have been put in the middle for the baby to sleep, the various spokes around the sides were possibly used to secure the mosquito net. The wooden tray in the centre sits loosely on the base, and the inside of that measures L80.5 x W28.5 x H7cm. This was in a wood colour but had been repainted in a glossy distressed aqua colour.
