Elmwood Rectangular Table from Shandong

A very elegant reddish brown Ming-style console table from Shandong, China. This table was made from Elm wood and is approx. 100-120 years old. Its table top protrudes slightly, and its tapered legs end with hoof feet. Quite a lot of the original colour on the table top has been worn off, revealing the beautiful elm wood grains underneath. We had kept the original patina as it is as this adds to the charm and character of the table, and just finished it with a clear matte lacquer.
