An antique cabinet from Shandong province, approx. 100 years old. It is made of Elm wood and Pine wood, and the original colour has been retained and finished with a clear semi-matte lacquer. The carvings on the top and middle fixed panels on both sides are 4 different types of flowers, representing the 4 seasons. The pattern on the bottom fixed panels on both sides is that of a Chinese coin, possibly representing the owner’s wish to have wealth throughout the year. The pattern of the Buddhist swastika is carved on the main doors.
