Antique Carved Fujian Cabinet

This antique cabinet originated from Fujian province, and is approx. 100 years old. The carvings on this cabinet are fantastic and well balanced. Fujian cabinets in this style are usually made in 2 tiers but this one is made as a single piece which makes it quite unusual. The colours and paintings on this piece are all original except for some of the gold leaf which had been touched up slightly. There is a repair on the top left corner of the right door as the carving was broken, but otherwise everything else was in good condition.

Overall, the original colours are very beautiful and this has been finished in a semi-matte clear lacquer.
