Ceramic Beauties (Set of 3)

These 3 cheongsam-clad ladies represent the unique style, trends and passion during the early Republic times in China. It was a turbulent era and there was also a huge cultural impact from the West. Though impoverished, the literati maintained a relaxed & elegant image, always in their long robes. Many enjoyed the arts & literature (represented by the painting on the fan), music (represented by the pipa) and smoking the pipe. All these embody a certain atmosphere, charm and calmness amid a period of chaos.
