Mirror Frame with Old Fujian Carving

This carving originated from Fujian province and is approx. 60-80 years old. The carving was originally part of a large canopy bed (this is one of the side panels). As the bed is missing many parts, it was difficult to restore it fully, hence we took the parts that are still in good condition and repurposed them into other furniture and wall decoration.
The carving has very beautiful through carvings of birds, flowers & butterflies. There are inserts of small turned struts, which is a distinct design of Fujian pieces from this period. Near the bottom in the middle, is a reverse glass painting of a bird & flowers.
As the left side of this panel was originally attached to another frame of the bed which was slanted, the left side is slightly sloped while the right side is straight.
