Mirror Frame with Old Carving

This mirror frame was converted using an old carving from Guangdong. The colours on the carving are original, while the black frame around it is new.

The carvings on this piece is very 3-dimensional and lively. There are birds & branches down the sides and carvings of phoenix, peonies & grapes across the top. Phoenix & peonies is an auspicious combination, and grapes symbolise lots of children as well as all your efforts will bear fruit. This is a very dramatic piece and will make a statement in any room!
